Fine bank building with gothic detailing for the Northern Banking Co. Constructed of Yorkshire stone and brick with the basement in red granite. The building had fine carving but internally and externally. Demolished in 1970 to be replaced along with the neighbouring warehouse, also by Young & Mackenzie, with a striking modern building for the same bank.
