1902 – St. Mary’s Church, Kitchener, Ontario

Architect: A.W. Holmes

Ornate Roman Catholic church finished externally in brick with stone trimmings. Sadly the towers never received their intended spires. There is an ornate column-free interior with a polgonal apse, and fine stained glass. The organ loft over the main entrance does not obscure the fine rose window stained glass. The English-born architect Holmes designed numerous churches and buildings for the Archdiocese of Toronto and had studied or worked for a time with George Edmund Street.
