Incomplete, this church in Old Cross Square was intended to have a tall slender spire. It is a pity that this never occurred as it would have improved the skyline of the town and now that the ground behind has been redeveloped, the church needs the vertical emphasis. The previous church on the site was retained as a lover level Church Hall. The new church was elevated over it and is accessed by a flight of steps. There is a fine and surprisingly bright interior with gallery.
