“The plans make this design explicit — Portland stone, with Berkshire bricks and green slates, being the materials, with a good deal of ironwork in the construction. Building operations are not yet commenced. Messrs. Bateman and Bateman are the architects, who exhibited this drawing at the Academy this year. ” Published in The Building News, October 27 1899.
