1897 – 15 Ely Place, Dublin

Architect: Thomas Manly Deane

2849

Designed by Thomas Manly Deane as a home for himself, ‘rebuilt in a decidedly picturesque manner’ according to the Irish Builder. Later the home of Oliver St.John Gogerty. Bought along with an adjacent garden by the Royal Hibernian Academy in 1939 before it was demolished in the early 1970s to make way for their gallery. A gallery by O’Callaghan & Giron was constructed in the garden around 1946.
