1891 – Design for Montreal Board of Trade, Quebec, Canada
Architect: J. Rawson Gardiner
Competition entry designed in the then popular Romanesque Revival style. The architect John Rawson Gardiner was born in London, England in 1866, and trained in theng. London office of Taylor & Gordon and was transferred to the Montreal branch of that office in 1887 where Sir Andrew T. Taylor was living and working. He remained in Canada and was know for his church designs, from 1894 to 1899 he worked in partnership with Alex G. Fowler.
