Now demolished and replaced with a office building in 1957 for the Friends’ Provident & Century Assurance Co. “With present issue we give a view of 16 and 17 Suffolk-street, which have recently been rebuilt from plans by Mr. J.J. O’Callaghan, F.R.I.A.I., and, with other houses adjoining also recently rebuilt, have materially improved this leading thoroughfare of the city. The buildings were – for 16, Messrs. Meade and Son; and for 17, Messrs. Hammond.” The Irish Builder, February 15 1889.
