1890- Old Town Hall, Fulham, London
Architect: George Edwards
Selected design published in The Building News, October 15th 1886. Intended as Vestry Hall & Offices. Completed in 1890 as a new town hall for Fulham. A symmetrical main frontage with seven bays facing onto Fulham Road with the central three bays featured an arched doorway with carved tympanum above flanked by windows. Internally, the principal room was a large public hall, often referred to as the Great Hall, which extended deep into the building on the first floor. Ceased to be used for local government in the 1960s and after a period as an events centre, has been sold for redevlopment.
