1884 – Design for High Altar, Ireland

Presumed never constructed, this sketch design by L.A. McDonnell was carried out while still in the employ of J.F. Fuller. “We this week publish a sketch design for a high altar. The general superstructure is proposed to be carried out in Caen stone, and the shafts, panels, etc in different coloured marbles.” The Irish Builder, April 1 1884.
