An unsuccessful entry in the competition to design a new Central Library on Belfast on Royal Avenue. “We reproduce this week the principal elevation and ground plan of the design submitted in the competition for the above by Mr. L.A. McDonnell. The plan is a simple one, and will sufficiently explain itself without further description from us. We hope shortly to be able to reproduce some of the other designs sent in.”
