Published in the American Architect and Building News, March 9 1889. Designed by Alfred F. Rosenheim in the Richardsonian Romanesque style popularized in the United States by Boston architect H.H. Richardson, the building features a number of unique elements specific to the style and period in which it was constructed, including rhythmic arched windows and contrasting colored sandstone blocks. A new limestone facade to the lower two floors was added in 1925 in a Classical Revival style by the Security National Bank. Now lofts.
