The drawings are reproduced from those given in “Habitations Modernes ” now being published by M. Viollet le Duc, with the purpose of illustrating examples from all parts of Europe, and among these are works by Messrs . Burges, Butterfield, Edis, R. Norman Shaw, Wilkinson, and others, besides the work we have given today. Most of them, however, have already been published in England, while several have appeared in our own pages.”
