1876 – Wilberforce Memorial Church of St. Luke, Camberwell, London
Architect: J.E.K. Cutts
Constructed as a memorial to William Wilberforce (1759–1833), the prominent evangelical Christian and leader of the campaign to abolish slavery. Perspective view & ground plan published in The Building News, August 18th 1876. Designed by JEK Cutts (1847-1938), a pupil of Ewan Christian. Cutts, who was later joined by his brother J.P. Cutts, started in practice in 1873. Destroyed during the Second World War.
