1875 – Cardiff & Country Club, 89 St. Mary Street, Cardiff, Wales

Architect: W. Douglas Blessly

Not quite built as illustrated, the applied decoration was not executed, and major changes to the roof treatment including an added parapet. Clearly a reduction in costs before construction. No longer in use by the Cardiff & Country Club, who vacated the premises in 1892 for a larger premises which they still inhabit. This was sold to the Wilts and Dorset Banking Co which converted it into a bank which subsequently became a branch of Lloyds until that closed and the building is now an entertainment venue. Illustration published in The Architect, June 5 1875.
