1873 – Design for English Church, Lyon, France

With the spread of railway networks across Europe, it brought mass tourism to the warmer parts of Europe. With tourists came the need for religious services in their own language. Consequently, there was a network of “English Churches”, churches offering Anglican services. This was an unbuilt design by the biggest British architect of the time.
