Described as “A remarkable monument of great beauty, designed and executed with much artistic skill, bearing date May 24th, 1886, was raised by the Right Hon. Joseph M. Meade to the memory of his father. Crowned by a striking statue, in white marble, of St. Michael the Archangel, it stands out quite unique in its character, close to the O Connell tower. “
