Architect: John McCurdy
A country house erected for Lieutenant-Colonel Sir James Langrishe JP (1832-1910) to designs by John McCurdy. The facade of this High Victorian Gothic house has the typical pointed arches, lancet windows, and a pyramidal roofed porch tower. The house was built in a T-shape using limestone, offset by granite. The garden front of the house has a softer appearance partly due to the large two-storey bay and the absence of the slightly forbidding tower that emphasises the main entrance.
