1866 – Nos.2-4 Marys Abbey, Dublin
Architect: Charles Geoghegan
Rebuilt around 1866 for George John Alexander to designs by Charles Geoghegan. Fine brickwork surrounds cambered window openings – floats majestically above otherwise drab shopunits – more visible now since Mary’s Abbey was widened to allow for the Luas network. Now home to a very tawdry tourist attraction.
