1863 – Kintullagh Castle, Ballymena, Co. Antrim
Architect: Thomas Turner

Kintullagh Castle, designed in a Jacobean style, was built as a wedding gift for Mr John Young’s, of the Bridgwater Spinning Company, son and daughter-in-law, William and Margaret. It has curvilinear gables, and a mixture of rectangular and round-headed plate glass windows, some with entablatures on which there is strap-work. Later used as a convent building, but now part of St. Louis Grammar School.
