1860s – St. Patrick’s Chapel / National School, Trim, Co. Meath
St. Patrick’s National School was founded on High Street, Trim, on 20 April 1909, in a building that had previously served as a Methodist church. Originally opened as a one room school with around fifty pupils. The building was restored as part of the development of the Swift Cultural Centre that opened in 2023. During this project, St. Patrick’s Chapel was transformed into a modern venue with a flexible 235 seat performance space.
