1933 – Ulster Bank, Portadown, Co. Armagh
1828 – Churchill House, Verner’s Bridge, Co. Armagh
Churchill, left empty from 1918 was known to have wood-rot in 1926. The house and remaining lands were sold in 1927, and the house was dismantled by the end of 1928. The Newry Telegraph described the house in 1828 – “a more chastely beautiful and classic building, or more tastefully laid out pleasure grounds we have never beheld”. Today there is no sign of a classical parkland estate. The masonic hall in Markethill is said to include the portico of the old mansion-house.
