I note that, despite the City Manager's assurance that commercial advertising would never be permitted on the lamps in Patrick Street, Dunnes Stores advertising is now festooned from said lamps ahead of the re-opening.
Dunnes are also rumoured to be giving away €65,000 on the Late Late Show to tie in with the opening.
