Forum Upgrade Tonight
I will be upgrading the forum software tonight - the new version has new features including galleries to allow you to add your own photos etc.

That 'Recent Visitors' box in the Profile is an interesting addition...

You can create galleries off your USER CP
http://www.archiseek.com/content/album.php?albumid=1
Homepage for forums is always at http://www.archiseek.com/content/index.php
Website name is archiseek - dunno why this seems to confuse you.
We haven't used archeire for a good few years now - it's now a blog of sorts

Re: Forum Upgrade Tonight
The main purpose for the redesign is to improve navigation and content presentation.
It allows for different template types
Wide format
http://ireland.archiseek.com/events/index.php
http://ireland.archiseek.com/maps/galway/0001.html
News
http://ireland.archiseek.com/news/2008/000183.html
Buildings
http://cuba.archiseek.com/havana/modernartmuseum.html
http://cuba.archiseek.com/havana/castillo_de_la_real%20_fuerza.html
Expansive photographic pages
http://uk.archiseek.com/england/london/stansted/airport_interior.html
Sure there'll be a few tweaks to the style sheet when its completed but I reckon it's a visual improvement as well as allowing more flexibility. The biggest job will be adding larger images at 590px wide to replace a lot of the older ones which are 450px wde.

Re: Forum Upgrade Tonight
Paul,
Where do I find my album(s)? I can't seem to spot a link in my profile or elsewhere.
I presume images in the album can be linked quickly into the threads?
Thanks.

ctesiphon, my mistake i didn't add it to user's permissions. you should be able to now.
for the record anyone who uses it to store lewd images or porn will be immediately banned from the site.

Re: Forum Upgrade Tonight
Album feed back: (registered users and guests)
I still think that there could be permission problems especially for “guests†to see images linked to albums.
I created an album with 8 images, at first as private and then edited it to public.
Then in two posts I made image links to the album. See post 2068
This morning I viewed these posts as a “guest†and the images linked to the album were not displaying.
So I logged on as a registered user and the image links worked.
Interestingly I then logged off i.e. “guest†status again and the image links still worked.
Final test, I rebooted my PC and viewed the posts again as a “guestâ€, alas the linked images to my album were not displaying!

New album: Limerick Peoples Park
New Thread: Limerick Civic Trust ~ The First 25 Years
Pictures Waiting Moderator Approval?
Paul is this constraint a standard procedure for albums? Where by images uploaded as attachments are displayed straight away.
P.S. What’s the status with Sean Curtin and the thread ‘Old Illustrations of Limerick
P.S. Feedback: I attempted to post this as a private message first but this error occurred.
Paul Clerkin has exceeded their stored private messages quota and cannot accept further messages until they clear some space.
Cheers Mike

I'm removed moderation as the tool is clunky and a pain for me - so I'll trust you all not to post porn or photos of kittens.
I asked Sean Curtin for more detail, and have received no reply.
