Case Study - Height difference

Hello.

I'm a third year Arch. student and in our urban design studio we are doing a project on a site that used to be a Quarry. The site is situated at the edge of the city and contains cliffs about 100 (!) meters tall.

I'm looking for a familiar CASE STUDY that has similar charectaristics - although it doesn't have to be a former quarry, what's important is the planning on such a significant height difference.
