The town is now just 20 mins from Bruxelles by train.

It reminds me of the Paul VI Audience Hall, Vatican City. Colatrava, however, would be too young to accept blame for that. Perhaps the Audience Hall was the inspiration for the railway. The Liegeois are [were] well known for their piety as well as their devotion to the papacy. I think, though, that this is pushing the envelope.
