bachelors degrees question

H, I am very interested in becoming an architect, always enjoyed structures, buildings and design. Right now im going into second yr civil engineering since my school does not have a bachelors in arch.
My question is, what would be the best bach to have when arch is not availabe? Would having a bach in civil eng be advantagous later on? And what did most of you guys get your bach in and what you thought of it, is it important?
