Looking for Architecture school via distance learning

Postby wongchingwah » Thu Jun 12, 2003 9:06 am

I have interest to study architecture via the distance learning method. I have searched for this method of study via several search engines for a long time (and .. no results).

I think Architecture program are only for full time studies or class room based.

Can anyone suggest any program on architecture via distance learning?

I have the same problem - I have not found any programs except a non credited school in California called San francisco Institute of Architecture.
Have you found any distance learning schools for undergraduate in architecture?

I would imagine that they are very hard to find. I also would advice attempting one. Architecture would lend itself well to a distance learning method. The structure is too practical and you need continual feedback and discussion with lecturers.
It would be fine for a post grad course, a masters course or a degree on a single topic such as sustainibility. But basic all round architecture from stratch wouldn't work too well in my opinion.

but nothing in Ireland! even part time/evening class!!!
because the RIAI knows that there is not enough job for future in Ireland . every organisation has to protect their own broffet / benifit /advantage/ leading/ incharging in the job area. only these few years so many jobs coming up!! nobody garenty 5 or 10 years after. in fact , personaly I think the RIAI love making some evening course but the sistuation of the country is impossable. like USA, China,...... big country more opportunity for real-estate development so architects has more job to do even 50 years later....... see the neighbour England .........so virity education can make more opportunity for architects, so many famous architects in UK. how many famous in Ireland? (I mean international standard) If I said too seriously forgive me please!!
