Job opportunities in canada

Hi,

first post!

I'm a 43 year old building surveyor (mainly housing maintenance, major refurbishment) experience. I also have Vectorworks experience and some autocad experience.

Can anyone advise me of my employment prospects in Canada?

I am fairly skilled in most building trades, and have run my own constuctin company as well as a small scale domestic extension design service (design and build).

btw, I have applied for Permanent Residency in Canada (last January 05) still awaiting an answer, and Iassume that it may take a further year before the application as a skilled worker is accepted.
