Mommy, why does Archiseek look funny?
I upgraded the forum software last night to the latest version of VBulletin. You won't observe many new features, as it has improved architecture rather than features. As a result, VBIndex which I used to power the homepage of Archiseek.com no longer works - and I am in the process of setting up a new system to do this. So that's why the frontpage looks odd today. I should have it finished over the next day or so.

Handy to see that attached images are now displayed in the thread.

I logged in okay earlier, but when I tried to post I kept getting redirected to the 'Search' page.
This is just a test to see whether that's been cured- I'll only know when I hit 'submit'.
EDIT: YAY!

test
hmm.. a minor niggle with it not parsing size tags. Might be doing it wrong though.
The new edit feature is very quick and handy.

The setup now suppresses font colour and size tags....
I got fed up editing posts by children
Yeah the new edit is wonderful.
I also think the forums are slightly quicker now too.

A little quicker? Seems like I've got broadband, or a high-speed line at least.
As for login problems I've never had so many. Will I have to sign in every time I want to make a post? I didn't have to before.

Check you have cookies turned on... I havent actually changed any other settings.
yeah they seem to have rewrote a lot of programme which makes it less clunky to run. Seems much faster to me.
Must install it on P45 over the weekend.

Is the attachment file size limit the same? - i.e. if we want to load a number of images into the post at a decent size will this be possible, or must we bring them to a ‘3rd party’ as before?
