will we ever get planing?
hi all, is it a waste of our time to try get planing in an area that is zoned rural that one family member has already built on in 2001, we are not farmers, we did have to live somewhere and bough a house rather than rent close to the area.
thanks in advance for all your replies.

Have you asked your local authority?
PS 13 minutes is hardly an eternity.

Re: will we ever get planing?
hi ctesiphon, thank you for your reply,
since that last email in 2003, I have learnt that since one family member has built on the land, we can't wont get planning, and the development plan for the fingal area is only getting tougher to get planning 2005-2011 and is problay unlikly to change, if a planner was in my position would they forget all about the dream of buliding there own deam home in this kind of situation.
your right 13 mins is not an eternity but 10 years might feel like one to wait.

Re: will we ever get planing?
I don't think planners would behave any differently from anyone else, though we might have a better understanding of the system. If you're asking would a planner apply anyway, the answer is probably no, particularly if you have already been told by the LA that it's a non-runner. Might be time to look at other options (and curse your family member that they beat you to the punch).
Good luck.
Good luck.

thanks ctesiphon for your honest answer, its hard to accept the facts, there is going to be built a 10,000seater football stadium across the lane way, from a site that we cant build a house on,
