Hi

My dissertation topic is:

Drogheda: Investing in it's future at the expense of it's (historical) past.

Could anyone guide me as to where to go to next? I've been following the recent spate of construction work in the area, but just want to see if the introduction of modern architecture to Drogheda is going to ruin what is quite a historical town. :D

"Going to ruin?"
IMO, the town centre has already been ruined by bad modern infill. The introduction of modern architecture does not mean the ruin of a historical context - the introduction of bad modern architecture does.
