1984 – Schirn Kunsthalle, Frankfurt, Germany
Architect: Dietrich Bangert

Dubbed the “Federal Bowling Alley” because of its tunnel-like shape, the Kultur-Schirn Kunsthalle is a cultural centre which hosts world-class temporary exhibitions of archeology, old masters and modern art. At its heart is a large rotunda which is barely visible from the surrounding streets and alleys.
