Theatre creation!

I am currently a student of Dublin Institute of Technology and have recently been given a studio project with regards designing on a site. I have decided to create a theatre/event space and was wondering if anyone knew of any helpful design guidlines/specifications floating around? or regulations etc etc! basically any information
