Should there be freelance architecture inspectors
You have parking officers that clamp cars why not houses or businesses?

Seriously though, when people get over the shock of negative equity and fear of discovering their house too has pyrite in the foundations AND they have a few quid to spare - I expect to see some inspectiosn rolling in.
Mind you by then either the 5-years-after-completion limit for Building Control action or the 6 year statute of limitations may have kicked in, so it may be more of a trickle than a flood.
