Can you name this church in Waterford?

Hello all, I am writing a small project using old photos. I have this one from the Laurence O Connor collection. It purports to show a church in W'ford, county or city. Anyone know it?

I think that's the side door of the Catholic Cathedral on Baron Strand Street, it's still there tucked in between the main 19th century facade and the boundary with Cathedral Lane. It's only the heavy duty railings [also seen in the photograph below, plucked from 'Discover Waterford' by Eamon McEneaney] that are gone now.
