Hello I am researching the ceiling of the drawing room in the now demolished house in St. Anne's Park in Clontarf/Raheny which belonged to Benjamin Lee Guinness and then his son Lord Ardilaun. I have a couple of images of the ceiling but not all of the details are clear:
Does anyone know of a similar ceiling design that still exists anywhere in Ireland?
Looking through a number of numbers the only ceiling I can find that resembles it at all is the library at Baron's Court which was designed by William Morris and the resemblance is fairly slight.
I am working on art project that involves making a 2-dimensional plan of the plasterwork as the basis for a temporary flower bed on the site. I have mapped out the basic structure but I am having particular difficulty in making sense of the area around the apse and interpreting in in two dimensions. I can't tell if the wall on either side of the apse is curved like the side walls or flat. Can anyone advise me on this or direct me to where I could see something similar?
