is there any legislation concerning what disabled people should get re size of accomodation in social housing.

Just off the top of my head, I know there is the Planning and Development Act 2000 and the Disability Act 2005. Not sure really if either deals in detail with specifics regarding size, but I do know that they specify that there must be adequate housing devoted to needs of disabled people.
