Dublin 2020
At Irish Construction Industry Magazine we are looking at what Dublin might look like in 2020. How will the skyline change? How will the city change? Does anyone have artists impressions of the future city? Or of planned buildings?

Have a look at the thread that is linked below:

I personally think that the area around the Pigeon House is the area that is most likely for real high rise, but maybe not by 2020.

The following is entirely tongue-in-cheek
The suggestion by Dublin City Planners for gateways to the city will be taken literally. A fear of all modern design, will mean that already existing structures will be slavishly copied.
Dublin will have a metro.....
The Phoenix Park will be under threat from the new city of Castleknock-Blanchardstown....
SIPTU will sell Liberty Hall to the new ruling government of Sinn Fein, who promptly decide that the building should reflect Irish vernacular architecture....

Not Dublin or Ireland, but a universal future...
Home truths
Where will we be living come 2020? In beautiful bespoke homes or in soulless suburban estates? The choice is ours, says Jonathan Glancey
