olympic statium
i know a new aquatic park was built recently but any news on the rest of the project? i heard a few years ago that ireland wants to host the actual olympics and as a result are planning to build a hugh olympic stadium. now that the new aquatic park is open and they are hosting the special olympics tomorrow, what's happening with the rest of it? i think the new part, if ever built will be on the same site. that would be cool.

well i think it's ok to talk about the stadium mate. i am not sure myself what is happening there. how can people be expected to be well up on everything is my question? sometimes it's like you have to stick to certain subjects in this chat room, it's so sad. the stadium does fall under the category of architecture. people can be so blind at times.

not quite sure what ur talking about now. but to fill u ion quickly. it was 80,000 .. then reduced to 65,000 and now is looking a non-runner at all. there is lots of threads on the subject. but i am just guessing it's the same stadium we are talking about as i think the pool is in abbotstown.

as i said earlier if you were listening at all! not well at the moment so trying to catch up on the net. no harm in that. it is a free country! anyway if some of you people out there are only able to mock and slag the threads, log off, don't even bother to reply. it's not getting to me in the slightest. if you can't talk with some sense i suggest you don't bother at all. nobody is forcing you to reply or even read these threads! if you don't like it..... hint hint.

hey, do remember there was a plan to put up a spike or something up on o'connell street, they should have gone ahead with that, does anyone know why they didn't, its so typical of the lack of imagination in this country.
LMAO
Naz perhaps you should take your own advice about only posting if you have something intelligent to say!

yes i have knocked some things about ireland and the way we do things here but so have others. expressing opinions and feelings about the country is a good thing though. it is better than not speaking at all. that's why we have rooms and sites like this. there really is no point in being hot tempered though. a bit of fun is ok to have.

i heard on the six o clock news today that this plan is back in motion. it's a choice between the blanch site or the docklands area. i think blanch would be a better option as it could then be beside the new water park. i don't think it's a definite but at least they are considering it again. i hope this is of some help to you mate.
