Demolition of Victorian Garda Station in Ballincollig

The latest casualty of modernisation in Ballincollig is the planned demolition of the old garda station. This is a Victorian red brick building which used to house adjutants from the barracks.
A new garda station is currently under construction next door-not before time- but sadly the OPW/Garda Siochana have deemed there is little architectural merit in the old station and it is due to be razed to make way for a car park for the new station.
