national primary routes

If one looks at a road map of Dublin, one notices that the National primary routes are poorly planned. The N 1,2 and 3 seem to be hell bent on terminating as close to O'Connoll Street as possible. The N2 Almost does a U turn on western way instead of continuing down Church Street, Crossing the bridge and terminating at the jnct. with the N81 on Patrick st, making it 4 lanes all the way. Same story with the N3. It would be better off to terminate at the Quays via Manor st and the old Cabra road
