Re: Tall buildings (of a sort)
Mother of God seems a little less appropriate than the eye of a needle for that house given their perchant for religious names. I seems to taper out to a reasonable width and unlike most South American dwellings the sides are finished to a reasonable standard which really makers it a regional novelty given that they spent little on the facade.

One can only imagine what shape the inhabitants of this dwelling maintain in order to manoeurvre around inside (for sure one would bend down with caution) and it raises the question of what effect does long term residency have on one's frame of mind - like the letterbox effect of widescreen only flipped 90 degrees to a vertical axis.
The inhabitants must be very upright citizens.

Well the first line of the manifesto of the Upright Citizens Brigade (http://www.uprightcitizens.org/) does include the line:
"I, _________, do hereby swear [...] to disrupt the sedentary status quo at all costs..."
But I'm not sure this is what they meant.

I think you're probably right- both side walls visible simultaneously in the above pic.
Or is the spirit of Flann abroad in Brazil? (You'll note who sent me the link in the first place.
