We have a rather larger problem with a proposed plan for a 15 bedroom extension on a rest home acroos the road from us, it has been rejected by Blackpool Council once before and this is what the council rejected in on :
"The proposed rooflift by reason its scale and design would unacceptably add to the bulk of the application property, resulting in an over-dominant roofscape which would be particularly detrimental to the appearance of the property and also would be an incongruent, alien feature that would fail to positively contribute to the quality of the streetscene. As such the development would be significantly detrimental to visual amenity, contrary to the provisions and aims of Policies LQ1, LQ14 and BH3 of the Blackpool Local Plan 2001-2016. .
The proposed rooflift and rear extension by reason of their scale would cumulatively result in an over intensive development of the site with inadequate levels of private amenity space. As such the development would be significantly detrimental to residential amenity, contrary to the provisions and aims of Policies BH3 and LQ14 of the Blackpool Local Plan 2001-2016. "
The owner has submitted the same plans except they have remove 2 dormers at the side of the new propsed roof, and added 10 unusable carparking spaces, we (the local resisdents) have a meeting on Monday 16th Oct with the planning commitee, 5 people have objected to the plans all have different reasons., but we have been avised that the plans have already been passed and monday is just a formality, also if it is passed we have no rights to appel, can someone please give us some good news and advise what will be a good point to make on Monday
