International Ideas Competition
The Emerging New York Architects Committee (ENYA), AIA NY Chapter, has announced the second biennial international ideas competition to explore issues of universal design and historic rejuvenation in developing a visual / performing arts center on Roosevelt Island. The registration deadline has been extended to December 18, 2005. Visit http://www.enyacompetitions.org for further information.

Submission Deadline: January 13, 2006 (postmarked)
Open to: Young and Emerging Designers
Entry Fee: $65 individual, $100 team (2-4), $100 group (5+), $100 academic fee, $35 student
Awards: $6000 (ENYA prize), $2500 (2nd Place), $1000 (3rd Place), $1000 (Student), $1000 (Historic Preservation Award)
Confirmed Jury (subject to change): Lebbeus Woods – architect, theoretician, educator, author; Mimi Hoang - Principal of narchitects; Robert Silman – President Robert Silman Associates PC; Beth Tauke – Associate Professor University of Buffalo; Dr. Tadeusz Sudol – President of the Roosevelt Island Visual Arts Association (RIVAA); Pedro Calzavara – winner of the 2003-2004 ENYA Prize, representing Calzavara-Flora-Recoba Studio-Uruguay
