Yeah OK i like the ski jump but bothj of them are far better known and respected for their theoretical works than they are their built work. Besides aren't they a bit passé by now?

where did you read that? or is it an opinion you developed yourself?

i would say morphosis and mayne in particular are quite influential among student populations and many young firms, if not the more austure stw's of the world. nothing wrong with recognition for theoretical works and unbuilt projects.

Apparently there is in this instance.......

The purpose of the Pritzker Architecture Prize is to honor annually a living architect whose built work demonstrates a combination of those qualities of talent, vision and commitment, which has produced consistent and significant contributions to humanity and the built environment through the art of architecture.

I can see a lot of Mayne's influence in O'Donnell & Toumey's work, particularly in their most recent big project, do they have a website? I can't seem to find anything on google.

BTW Mayne's work can be quite exceptional at times although I'm not gone on all of it, the fourth one down in post 6 does nothing for me I don't think it translated from vision to reality so well. The third one really acheived the desired effect for me.

The fourth one down is Hadid (the last Prizker Prize winner) which is probably why it doesnt appeal.

Hadid's design works for me on form but the material selection is seriously out of kilter with its context in my opinion

Thanks for that sw101 it must have been the ' that was stopping it coming up in google.

No details of their tcd scheme on the site unfortunately, which from a sneak preview I had it looked heavily influenced by Thom Maynes work

Sorry I could have phrased that better, I've seen additional images, I don't know why it is being kept so quiet
