The Col·legi d’Arquitectes de Catalunya will celebrate A+A during 20th, 21st and 22nd June 2002 in Barcelona. A+A is a non-competitive festival devoted to the exhibition of works where Architecture and the moving image fuse together.

A+A, that addresses to architects, researchers, artists, filmmakers...who are interested in analysing how Architecture can be communicated, will focus on the
exploration of the possible reflections on Architecture that can be made through animation and experimental films and the computer animation techniques. This event summons projects developed by architects, filmmakers, media artists, computer programmers...

The Col·legi d’Arquitectes de Catalunya calls, on one hand, projects related to Architecture accomplished by individuals or teams, which have been produced by the usage of digital technologies. These projects must give proof of the importance of digital technology as a new essential implement for the communication of Architecture and the development of the architectural practice and theoretical research also.

On the other hand, animation films (short films and feature films) and experimental films where Architecture plays a main or secundary role, are called in order to invite architects to cast a look at Architecture from a subjective stance to redefine concepts through the eye of the creator of the moving image.

Entry requirements and entry form for A+A are available from www.coac.net/COAC/a+a .Should any additional information be required, please address to Fredy Massad & Alicia Guerrero Yeste, A+A curators, through coacanimatica@coac.es
