GLASGOW has been named as the only city worthy of inclusion on a list of the movers and shakers in British culture.
Dominated by celebrities and designers, the west coast city beat London, Manchester and Edinburgh for inclusion - at number 48 - in the list, which was compiled by fashion, film, media and design industry experts for the BBC Three programme Top 50 Cultural Movers and Shakers, showing tonight at 9pm.
Some on the list are household names, but others can still walk the streets without fear of being recognised - including the man who leads the list

this sort of guff shouldn't make the news.
Patronising shite basically.
and pretty meaningless.
(glasgow's inclusion on the list, not Alan D's comments)

you're right S.I. so very facile.
Aberdeen did'nt even make the top 250 and it's got a beach and every thing.
What about Dundee, it's got a Gehry. Where did the great red trousered one place that, I wonder.
Still could be worse, we could be working in Edinburgh.........Get Farrell on the phone, eh?
