Any conference on buildings that has Prince Charles as its first listed speaker is to be avoided at all costs. There was an architectural war in the 1980s, and he lost. Why invite him back? We're still repairing the damage he caused.

And any conference that includes Lord Foster has to be for insomniacs only: he's the only known cure. Fine architect, shame about the public persona.
