Building rejuvenation - help!

Is there in anyones opinion a european equivalent to Dublin's temple bar rejuvenation project?????????

potsdamer platz in berlin is a big regeneration of an area in a city but is done more on a blank canvas than temple bar was. popideu centre in paris was an isertion of a modern, cultural building in a historical context. so was the gugenhiem in bilbao spain. south bank in london with all its galleries culture etc.
cant think of an exactly similar situation as templebar but im sure there is one.
