Hi does anybody have information on a Grand entrance to an estate with a roundabout beside Timoney Technology its on the road from Slane to Kells at a crossroads truly stunning but getting very dilapidated
It could have been Ireland's first roundabout .

got a reply from Meath County Council here it is

Yes as you have rightly surmised – this is a protected structure.
Its ID no. MH017-138 on the Record of Protected Structures – described as - Gibbstown Estate - Circular entrance feature. It’s the gates and entrance to the former Gibbstown House, which was a large country house built around 1850, burnt and rebuilt in 1912, and demolished in 1965. The remains were bought for salvage by the monks at Mellifont who intended to reconstruct it, and is reputed to be still in stacks of numbered stones in Collon. There is a very fine set of outbuildings surviving a bit further on down the road. These are protected as well.
